Strawberry Pickin'

After watching a show on Toon Disney about making strawberry
jam Ally decided that we needed to do that too. Since
Grandma is a great jam maker she decided to take on the
project. We have a great farm called "The Berry Patch" about 13
minutes from our house. It is designed for individuals and kids
to come pick all kinds of fruits, veggies and flowers and
then of course, pay for them.

First we took a short ride behind a tractor out to the strawberry fields.

(Don't mind Mommy's crazy hair... it was windy!)

Let's just say we ALL had a GREAT time!

The strawberries were tiny but tasty. Both kids can agree
to that. Travis kept finding berries and would pluck them off the plant
and pop them into his mouth.

Can you tell that Ally enjoyed the strawberries too? She didn't
do as much work as Travis. She simply watched Mommy
and Grandma pick strawberries, put them into her little
basket, and then Ally pulled them out one at a time, ate the
berries and threw the stem on the ground. Pretty cute!

Yum! Yum!
(We also picked some yummy raspberries)

These beautiful flowers graced our table for a few days.
